Expedia were looking to personalise their holiday marketing to individual users and leverage their strong brand presence to create a deeper connection with their customer base.

Solution

To achieve this, Expedia utilised Personality Quizzes within the Engagement Hub. The concept of the Personality Quiz was ‘What type of Instagram holidays person are you?'. Once their customers answers fun questions about their preferences and personality, they were told their ideal holiday location and could browse offers on the Expedia website. Further to this, Expedia integrated market research questions into their game to learn more about their customer and build out preference based first-party data for their CRM. 

 

Results 

7,205 Expedia customers took part in the ‘What type of Instagram holiday person are you?’ Personality Quiz. This created over 138 hours of total customer interaction for Expedia, driving a deeper level of engagement between the brand and their customers.
