2025 is here and we’re back with what’s sure to be the biggest year at Komo yet!

To kickstart the year, we’re pumped to bring you the latest edition of Building Momentum where we share the latest developments in the Komo product and what you can expect to experience in the coming months.

This month’s updates focus on fine-tuning engagement, streamlining workflows, and removing friction, so you can create richer customer experiences with less manual effort. From smarter prize eligibility rules to seamless CRM syncing, instant dashboard sharing, and frictionless form-filling, we’re making it easier than ever to activate, engage, and optimize.

 

 

 

Take full control of your instant win prizing

One of the greatest strengths of the Komo platform is its flexibility and adaptability. If you can think it, Komo can almost certainly do it (in the realm of activations, that is). With every feature release and improvement, we’re aiming to further strengthen this capability and provide you with all the tools you need to realize your activation dreams.

With that in mind, we have made some improvements to instant win prizing to give you more control over prize eligibility. Now, you can add specific rules and circumstances that will automatically qualify or disqualify customer segments from winning prizes when playing Komo’s instant win games like Spin to Win and Scratch and Win.

For instance, you can now ensure that only loyalty members in New York who have transacted with your brand in the last month are eligible for prizes.

Outside of this obvious capability, you will also be able to limit players winning multiple prizes and ensure eligibility is hyper-personalized to create a more tailored experience that is bound to keep players motivated and involved.

 

Quit the monkey business with Komo’s new Mailchimp integration

This month, we’re excited to welcome a new member to the Komo integration family. Joining the suite of CRM integrations is Mailchimp, one of the most-used CRMs by our customer base, and an integration that has been repeatedly requested.

Ain’t nobody got time to manually sync contacts between Komo and your CRM. With this new integration, that will never be a problem. Once connected, you can seamlessly push and sync all contacts within Komo to your Mailchimp instance, allowing you to set, forget and spend more time on work that is actually going to drive value.


But the buck doesn’t stop there. In the spirit of Marie Kondo, we want to make data cleanliness and organization simple and enjoyable. Now, when setting up your contact syncs, you can automatically tag contacts and add them to specific lists. This ensures a clean, organized CRM with zero manual effort. You’ll be able to set once, leave the hard work to Komo, and admire the fruits of your (non-existent) labor.

 

Improve transparency and reporting with public dashboard sharing

Picture this. Your activation campaign has wrapped up, and you’re conducting an in-depth review of its performance. You’re deep in the data, analyzing engagement metrics, audience participation, and ROI, when your inbox pings.

It’s your CMO. “Can you send me a breakdown of how the campaign performed? Oh, and the sales team wants insights too. Also, our agency partners are asking for a report to refine our next activation. Can you share that ASAP?”

Now, you’re stuck exporting reports, taking screenshots, and pulling together a summary that, let’s be honest, will be outdated by the time it lands in their inbox.

Remove customer friction with post entry updates

Let’s put our customer hat on for a moment.

Nothing is more annoying than when you regularly interact with a brand or site and have to input your details 👏 every 👏 single 👏 time you fill out a form.

This is why we have developed post entry updates. This update ensures that when a customer fills out a form, their input is automatically checked against reference tables. Relevant data is then pulled in and pre-filled into other fields, saving time and reducing frustration.

In layman’s terms, this may manifest in a customer typing their email address into the form field and the rest of the form is pre-populated with their name, contact number, loyalty number and clothing size.

At its core, this improvement creates brand experiences that are richer, frictionless and far more personalized for customers.

 

Here’s what’s coming down the pipe…

While we’ve started the new year with a bang, we’re only just getting started.

In the coming months, you can expect to see the team double down on what Komo does best (providing powerful tools for engaging activations) whilst also extending the breadth and core capabilities of the platform.

➡️ We’re looking forward to releasing our new ‘Vote’ card which combines UGC and audience voting in a feed-based environment where users can interact with and vote on brand and user-uploaded content.

➡️ There will also be big improvements to list automation with the release of ‘Dynamic Lists’, which will enable you to ensure contacts are automatically added or removed from lists if they meet certain criteria.

➡️ Finally, but certainly not least, we’re excited to bring you our brand new ‘Surveys’ feature. This will give you the power to easily run surveys throughout your campaigns, directly from Komo, with all existing Komo features (think prizing, rewards and workflows) layered over the top.
